Interior Painting
As with all painting projects, preparation is the key to a
quality finish product. They say 80% of painting is in the prep work. Proper
prep and quality materials are the foundation of a quality finished paint job.
Interior painting requires surface inspection to determine what preparation and
type of material is best for each individual job.
There is NO miracle paint that is best all-around, every job is different.
All stains, pen, crayon, water, smoke, etc. must be sealed with a proper sealer
or they will reappear, all peeling & flaking spots must be sealed to insure
proper adhesion of the patching material to be used, all patched areas need to
be primed to provide proper coverage to topcoat
There are many types of wall coverings on the market, they also require proper
prep patching is sometimes required sizing walls prior to installing is usually
also recommended to insure a quality finished product.
Also there are many new faux finishes being used lately; glazing, rag rolling
and a wide variety of multi-color fleck effect coatings that replicate granite,
marble and other random multi-colored patterns that use to be used in wallpapers
only, but are now sprayed on.
